Christmas is a festival of Christians which marks the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. It is celebrated on the 25th of December every year all over the world. Jesus Christ was born to mother Mary on this day in Bethlehem.

In Christianity. Jesus Christ is believed to be the son of God. This festival is loved and cherished equally by grown-ups and kids. All houses, churches, and shops are cleaned for the Christmas celebrations. People also decorate a Christmas tree at their homes with colorful balls, ribbons, and red socks.

Religious people visit the church and light the candles to worship Lord Jesus Christ. They distribute gifts, exchange Christmas cards, organize feasts on this day. People usually buy clothes and gifts for the poor and needy at this festival. Children also sing Christmas carols like, “Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle all the way.”

People invite friends and relatives to their homes during Christmas. They distribute gifts, exchange Christmas cards, organize feasts on the occasion. Kids get a lot of presents and new dresses. They also get gifts and sweets from ‘Santa Claus’ dressed in fluffy red and white costumes. It is believed that Santa Claus comes at midnight and gives gifts to the children.

Christmas is the festival of love, happiness, and care. It is about sharing and helping the needy. Christmas gives the message of love, happiness, peace, care, sacrifice as taught by Jesus Christ. People celebrate it on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ with great enthusiasm and enjoyment every year.
